A picture is truly worth a thousand words if it is in the class of this one taken at Missmyra.
Imagine sitting on the bench and watching the sun rise over Risten. In the summer months one needs to be up early of course or alternatively to go to bed late. That is all part of the magic of Sweden and where else could it be more fully experienced than from the end of that pontoon.
We offer our clients the use of two cottages set in the woods overlooking the lake or alternatively, for larger groups, double rooms in the main building.
The cottages provide cozy, charming and magnificently basic accommodation. there is no running water and the dry toilet set higher up on the forests edge offers an even better view over the lake.
There are of course full amenities available a short dash away in the main building which also houses the dining room from where breakfast and the evening meal is served.
Whist staying at Missmyra our guests have full access to the lake, sauna and surrounding forest . For those interested in fishing we provide the use of a boat and fishing tackle but here we must stress the importance of the adequate insurance and te use of life jackets ( see terms and conditions) We must also emphasis our commitment to having respect for nature.
Swedish law allows access to the countryside in a way that is quite unique, its citizens are encouraged to share what the country has to offer but they must also take responsibility for its well being.
